Why do I do what I do? It’s simple. At my most vulnerable, a gentle soul saw me as a person and held my hand. She made me feel safe. That was the day I had my D&C, My doctor was 4 hours late, and my husband had stepped away for a moment after I urged him to get a snack. The doctor rushed in without saying hello and I was whisked from the waiting area to the operating room and I panicked. I had a miscarriage that my body refused to let go, and I was starting to get a fever. I knew I needed the intervention, but I was still terrified. I had always been drawn to women’s work, but that nurse that day made me want to pay that kindness forward to other women in their hour of need.

I’ve always felt drawn to spaces where quiet strength lives. Where healing, transformation, and deep listening happen. There’s something sacred about bearing witness to birth, about standing beside someone as they cross the threshold into motherhood. For me, it’s an honor that goes beyond words. This work is intuitive, ancestral, and deeply personal. 

Now, with a decade of experience as a labor and delivery and postpartum nurse and a wealth of knowledge in uncomplicated as well as high-risk birth, I embrace my new role as a doula to continue the work that called to me early in my own journey into motherhood. I’d be honored to walk beside you.
